| There is an extraordinary need today to transform old habits and attitudes into a total conservation effort for the betterment of mankind and the Earth. And what better place to begin this mindset than with our youth, who can be fashioned into environmentally aware citizens through simple and fun activities. This is how Eco Bean and his friends were born. |

 |
| After several years of nonprofit environmental work, Al and Anne Milen were compelled to write about conservation for today’s youth, hoping to instill environmentally conscious ideas and to develop and sustain lifelong habits. The Eco Bean series was written using basic environmental principles and with input from experienced/conscientious pre school teachers Angela Camarda and Fran Gandarillas who helped tailor the messages for young minds. In easy and fun ways, the Eco Bean series shows how to recycle and conserve. |

| Activities for families to work together are supplied via the free (downloadable) Family Guide Checklist. Also available on the Web for teachers is a free (downloadable) Teacher Guide and Lesson Plans. The main idea, of course, is to combine efforts of teachers, parents and children to work as a synergy toward the betterment of all. |

By employing Eco Bean’s ideas, families not only will improve the world environment but also their own households by saving money through efficiency – a pertinent issue in today’s economy (or in any economy). We hope you enjoy what Eco Bean and his books can bring to you and your family.
