Dear Colleagues,
Today, we are all very aware of the environment, as climate change is in the news daily. It is important that we all become involved in offsetting global warming’s potentially devastating effects. Teaching young children conservation habits at an early age will ensure conservation becomes part of their daily activities as they mature. |

 |
| Welcome to the world of Eco Bean! This series of picture books helps to fulfill children’s appreciation of conservation in a fun way. By reading the Eco Bean series and incorporating the class lessons for each book, the children’s motivation will be carried over and coordinated with projects they can do with their families. In addition to these lesson plans we welcome you to create your own ideas on the Teacher's Blog at Eco's web www.Ecosplace.com. |

| This program can become a major part of your Science curriculum and can be easily incorporated into a center-based program, as well as large group instruction. Expectations and standards for our children continue to grow. The Eco Bean series provides an interdisciplinary approach that educates our young learners about the importance and necessity of conservation of our Earth’s resources. |

| Teaching conservation the Eco Way is fun! Enjoy! |
